Q&A: In Nevada, the government owns a ton of land. Why don’t they use solar power on some of this wasteland?

This land is just sitting there, millions of acres. The sun shines nearly every day in this state, and all that solar power is going to waste! Since the government owns this land, a lot of it just scrub, couldn’t they lease it to solar power and wind power companies to make use of it? Just a thought.

They definately should !! They more than likely aren’t now because of the cost. Science is discovering new ways to convert the sun’s energy besides using the expensive silicone so it’ll be cheaper for everyone soon.
