If you live in a third world country than by now you must have experienced some sort of energy shortage either in the form of load shedding or shortage of fuel. Experts believe that in a few years the shortage of conventional energy sources is a sure thing, they have warned all countries to look into the matter and try to figure out some solution to this important problem. One of the best ways to solve this problem is to look for alternate energy resources. For scientist, this searching was not such a difficult task since energy is available everywhere, one just has to find ways so that this energy can be extracted and used.

Few of the most important energy sources that were discovered were wind, sea waves and last but not the least the solar energy. Among the three mentioned here solar energy is sort of the most important one since it is available to us in abundance. Every day sun rises for about twelve hours and if one can find a way to tap or channel its energy then the energy shortage problem can be totally erased. When solar energy was first discovered as a potential source of energy, scientist found it difficult to extract energy from it. They couldn’t discover ways in which this energy can be properly channeled. With time and investment many good ways were discovered so as to tap the solar energy into some useful form. Now getting this solar energy to work has been simplified to such an extent that there are DIY Solar Panel where DIY stands for Do it yourself solar panels.

Thanks to such solar panels, the energy crises ranging from your home to collective the country has been eradicated. The ease of installing your very own solar energy source has made this technology a big success. People have now employed these solar energy panels into their businesses as well as their homes. The very name DIY Solar Panel indicates the fact that just about everyone can afford and make their home solar panel. Now this does not mean that the electricity produced by these solar panels is so enormous that such small panels can run the whole home. These panels usually share the electricity load with the main supply. The solar panels contribute to a maximum of forty percent (on average) of the total electricity usage. But the good thing about them is that by contributing as much as forty percent the overall bill of electricity is reduced dramatically plus the fact that these panel have  no maintenance cost make them ideal for day to day usage.

The fact is that DIY Solar Panel is the future of energy sources since the conventional sources of energy are bound to finish in the near future. Though the only bottleneck in the whole technology is low amount of currents that are generated by these panels, researchers have found many new ways to extract maximum amount of energy but at the same time keeping the cost and the size as low as possible.
